FOOTBALL DONATION APPEAL

This football scene above may be lost forever if we do not act now. Football at the Ringmer Football Club could soon be a memory of the past, over 100 years of football only broken by the two world wars will end if we do not try our hardest to keep the Ringmer FC alive.

Due to circumstances beyond any control of it's members the parent Limited Company of the RFC was put into administration. This luckily did not affect the Club from competing in County football but it has been a hard road as we (trustees, members and others) have had to fund all football with little or no funding from the Ltd Company administrators, neither do we get any revenue from entrance fees or social club monies, the football comes out of our pockets.

Administration has been a long and drawn out affair and we have too now look for more funding in the way of donations. These will be used to keep football alive in Ringmer at the Caburn ground and to keep the Clubhouse open for our other teams (darts, pool etc and members..

We have two senior teams and a youth team to raise funds for, not to pay them any wage but to pay for necessary expenses and running costs. These teams have performed on a shoestring of late but that shoestring has frayed and about to break.

If you can help keep football alive for us our children in the future please act now and donate what you can to this appeal. Please use the secure donations button above

Thank You

LATEST NEWS – 25/07/10

A BIG Thank You Cont
Yesterday's first match of the season was a brilliant day, everything came together and went like clock work, we even won our first friendly. This however does not just simply happen on the day, there have been a small band of volunteers over the past few weeks feverishly getting the club and pitch ready for the off. It is to these people that Bob Munnery (chairman) and the Trustees would like to thank for all their hard work and time.

Extensive work has been done to the pitch throughout the whole of the close season most by Kevin Fingernisal and his team but a lot from Dave Millar and Bob himself. In fact the Friday before match day there was a lot of activity going on with putting nets up, marking and white lining (not a simple job by far) I wasn't going to mention names as those who did know who you are but I must mention Ted & Margaret Hopkins who worked very hard in very hot weather on Friday weeding and clearing the entrance side of the ground and Ted Chitty who I found at the top of a step ladder covered in white paint after scrapping and painting the soffits at the front of the building. Pete Martin and Andy Cooper for their invaluable help. Of course there has been loads of ongoing work in and around the clubhouse, a very successful painting party has spruced up the clubhouse widows (pitch side) Major re-fitments to the Gent's toilets and repairs to the disabled toilet after it was discovered that the floor had been laid on rotting floor joists by the installer. Doors and frames have been mended after some joker thought it a hoot to kick them in on the changing rooms and pay hut and a host of general repairs inside and out the clubhouse.

Needless to say none of this would be possible if it wasn't for those volunteers doing their bit, in fact without this happening this and many other football clubs could and would not operate or even exsist. There is still a lot of work to be done at the Caburn from painting and general repairs to cleaning and tidying. We also have plans in place to extend changing rooms and re-organize our stands. There is always something to do so if you want to get involved and have an odd hour or week to spare to give a hand generally pop in to the Caburn bar and see Jim or catch one of the management team. Or email information@:ringmerfc.co.uk or Tel 01273812738

Once again  a big Thank You to all

The Trustees
