RINGMER RES 4-1 HAYWARDS HEATH RES
SCFL RESERVE SECTION DIVISION EAST
SATURDAY 18/02/12

On Saturday we welcomed the arrival of Haywards Heath to the Caburn after two weeks of no football Ringmer needed to get back to winning ways . The game started with the rain blowing across the pitch which made it difficult for both sides to control the ball. Ringmer had the better of the first ten minutes with Kieran Patel going close from a through ball from Louis Munnery. On 20 mins a brilliant build up saw James Novis score a rare goal only for it to be disallowed, this seemed to spur Ringmer into action and on 29 mins a Kieran Patel corner found Louis Munnery to smash the ball home from 25yds giving the Blues the opening goal, 1-0 at half time.

The second half began with the rain pouring down and Ringmer taking control of the game with lots of pressure on the Haywards Heath goal. Then on 60 mins Rob Frost latched on to a through ball and rounded the keeper to slot home number two for Ringmer. Goal number three came after 70 mins, once again Rob Frost latched on to a through ball from Sam Sowter to fire in his second of the afternoon. Then on 78 mins goal number 4 arrived, Kieran Patel carved opened the Haywards Heath defence once again and Sam Sowter slotted in number 4. On 85 min Haywards Heath scored a penalty to make the final score 4-1 another great result well done to the lads !!
